Comics Reader: A Lightweight Open Source Reader for Android
Comics Reader is a free, open source comics reader for Android tablets. It is optimized for all screen resolutions and supports CBZ, CBR, CBT, and folders with JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. The comics browser comes with thumbnails, and there is a bookmarks manager to download albums from remote sites. Additionally, it allows downloads of remote files using a proposed PHP script.
Comics Reader has several resize modes, including screen width, screen height, both, 100%, 50%, and 25%. It also supports right to left reading direction settings, double pages mode, and next and previous pages auto preloading if enough free memory. The program has a fast pages switcher with pages previews and fling gesture to change page with smooth transition. Moreover, it is compatible with all screen resolutions, supports 16 and 32 bits rendering, and has bidirectional scrolling if page larger than screen. Comics Reader is available in English, French, Turkish, Spanish, Greek, Galician, Polish, Italian, Russian, and Portuguese.
